Some of us have come together because of the idea, others because of memory of working with Nammalvar, some because we are able to connect to the idea through our own work.
It was in the early days of the pandemic in 2020 when the group in Tamil Nadu conceptualized this vision encouraged by the financial commitment of a group of people of Tamil origin from the USA.
It was soon realized that the interest and understanding of the initiators in India is different from the group from the USA, so it was decided to disengage with the group and continue activities independently locally in India.
Formally the initiative was announced to the world on 5th June 2020, the world environment day. It was registered as a Trust later in the year with a group of Trustees.
